Hashmi is already on the list for my trip in March because of your insta feed. :) it’s truly a delight to follow you on your foodie journeys!
We’ve lived in DXB for almost 4 years, returned to Germany in 2016. Food scene is changing so quickly there, it’s hard to keep up with the restaurant scene. Especially when you’re on a budget!! So the caviar and dry aged steaks places unfortunately won’t make it to my personal list - but any recommendations for no frills places for lovely Lebanese food are highly appreciated. Any ideas?
Ibn AlBahr Seafood on the Palm twice. First time a winner with great service and a grilled snapper. Second time unfortunately not as good.
Went to Al Hadheera for Iftar to show my friend a little bit of desert luxury in Bab Al Shams. Was nice but compared to 10 years ago lost a bit of its charm.
Went to Abd El Wahab for iftar, too! Was as good and yummy as I remembered it to be.
Maria Bonita in souk madinat was ok but wouldn’t return there… quite nice view on the Burj from the terrace though.
You make me want to get on a plane!! Thank you for expanding my culinary horizons. Love to hear about what’s going on outside my lane. Awesome reviews.
Love watching your cooking videos! I'm heading to Dubai in October

Em sherif! Or Abdel Wahab or Al Beiruti !
Coming from a lebanese, these places are really good
yesss
Hashmi is a must! And agree with Thea below, em sherif is great!
We‘re back from Dubai. Have you tried BRIX Café or Bordomavi? We loved both places. Now we have 3 fils on the bucket list for next time…
Haven’t tried either but I’ll add them to the list for the next time I’m there!! Where else did you try?
Next time we’ll try Sushisamba as well. Apparently very much hyped and worth it.

You do know Emirates flies nonstop from SEA to DXB? I'm saving my pennies. On my bucket list along with Seychelles.
